Getting Closer….

Feb 4th -lots more work has been done. The cork flooring is now installed and they are getting ready to install the carpet this week. All the light fixtures have also been installed.
The master ensuite is almost complete. They just need to install the glass for the shower
Tried to get a better shot of the cork flooring, a little hard considering most of it is presently covered in cardboard.
The house is almost ready!

Almost there! Posession day is about 1 month away…..
Here is the living room with the corner fireplace. The tile was installed this week.
The kitchen now has a backsplash on the counters, just needs grout
The entry way was just tiled a few days ago, it also is missing grout.
The master ensuite, the shower will be off to the left of the tub.

The new house is moving along quite nicely, they tell us posession should be by the end of February! As of yesterday the entire house now has a coat of primer, the ceilings are stipled and cabinets are in. Here are some photos of what it currently looks like

The french doors for the bedroom/office finally arrived and were installed last friday. Just needs a coat of paint and door handles

The stairwell was lots of work to complete but glad it’s done!

We have been working hard on completing the basement and are almost done. The paint touch-ups are now complete and this week almost all the doors were installed!!! Just waiting for the french doors to be ready hopefully within the next week. We are now busy cutting, painting and installing trim. All that will remain to be done after that will be the dropped ceiling!!! Within the next few weeks we should have some photos to post on here…..
October 16th
We are getting closer to being finished, a few more pieces of trim to put up, a few doors to paint and hopefully the french doors go in within the next few days. After that we will need to work on the ceiling. Here are a few pictures I took today after I cleaned up a bit down there.

Here are a few pictures from last week. The siding is now going up on the house…
As of October 6th the siding is now complete and they have also finished installing the insulation. The next steps are to drywall and get the concrete floor poured in the basement so they can frame it, insulate it and drywall it as well. Stay tuned for more photos….

As of August 24th the shingles are done and we also have a furnace and fireplace.
August 30th- they have completed framing the fireplace
Took a drive by on September 6th and they have installed the garage door as well they have delivered the fascia and soffiting materials, no siding yet. Can’t wait to see what the house looks like with a bit of color!
Aug 20th - windows, doors and more

All windows and exterior doors were installed over the weekend (we saw them putting some in yesterday). The rough-in for the plumbing looks like it is complete as well! And now they have delivered the roofing shingles so it looks like that will be done soon too.
They have started doing some of the archways.

The sheeting in now on the roof. As well all our windows and some of the plumbing is in the garage waiting to be installed -they are sure moving along with all this now!!!

We took a drive past the new house again today. The second floor has now been framed and part of the roof has been done.
Here I am inspecting the future kitchen/ living/ dining area…

I think he is plotting the landscaping of the back yard already…..
The second floor is quite a mess to walk through at this time as they still have more lumber on the floor that needs to be used to complete the roof.
